Korine is a passionate baking artist & educator with 30 years of experience in the baking and pastry world. She started as a cake decorator and bakery manager, developing her skills in various bakeries in Chicago. After graduating from The French Pastry School in 2008 & Wilton School of Confectionary Arts in 2009, she focused on recipe development & leadership. Discovering the science of cakes and doughs was so influential in how she spent time in the kitchen. Her curiosity about baking fundamentals became a journey into self-education, group workshops, & creating delicious vegan recipes for the community.
Her expertise has led her to various chef roles, bakery coaching, teaching, and business ownership, all driven by her love for baking. Contributing delicious gems to the vegan community brings a lot of joy! And teaching is her purpose! Working with lots of young and new bakers over the years as a chef instructor has brought a lot of insight to how people learn in hands-on settings.
She is a proud vegan mama to 2 amazing souls and believes all living beings deserve compassion and consideration. Always on a mission in kitty city.

Meet Isabel! She is a talented baker with an Aries personality. She loves art, animals, and Halloween.
She dislikes pickles. Isa is a student baker. She has been training on various baking techniques for a year and a half. She is working on her baking craft weekly, building muscles! Her biscuits are perfection.

Tracy is a people-first leader with experience in operations, retail leadership and team development. Tracy's career experience includes leading teams at Apple, Paylocity, Starbucks, and the ACLU. Her work is driven by the belief that a little nourishment, encouragement, and creativity can change what someone believes is possible. She is happiest dreaming up new ideas with Korine, building relationships, and helping make BIDA a place where people feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
Tracy has been vegan for the animals for over 20 years. She is Scorpio at her core, with a Libra personality (born in between!). She loves dark chocolate & sourdough, will travel far out of her way for vegan donuts… and despises strawberries. Tracy is passionate about coffee and concerts, making art with her daughters, reading romantasy books surrounded by her four cats, and going on adventures to find new treats. <3
